Course, weather and tides you plan with your navigation app. Everything else about the trip the crew plans in Crewsy: who cooks, who shops, who brings what and who transfers what to whom.
Whoever cooks enters their meal, with ingredients or a recipe link. Crewsy scales the amounts to your crew size, adds up matching ingredients and sorts everything by aisle in supermarket order. Drinks are added per person per day.
Two lists: “Personal” for your own bag, “Shared” for what the crew shares. On “Shared” everyone commits to how many they bring. Next to each item you see whether it's covered, missing or coming twice.
Whoever paid adds the expense, with a photo of the receipt if they like. Split equally, by shares, by percentage or to the exact cent. At the end Crewsy shows who transfers what to whom.
The skipper sends the invitations: each crew member gets their own link, valid for 14 days. Whoever opens it comes aboard with their own account or via quick access with a name and password. Everyone sets their own language, German or English.
The skipper uploads the track for each sailing day. Crewsy shows the legs on the chart, calculates the distance over ground and issues everyone on board their sea miles confirmation as a PDF.

“Trip planner” means two different things. One is route planning: chart, waypoints, legs, tides, weather. There are navigation apps and chart plotters for that, and Crewsy doesn't want to be one of them. The other is everything the crew sorts out among themselves before and during the trip: food, shopping, luggage, money. That is Crewsy. Together, both make the trip.
For the charter week with friends, the club trip, the training trip and any crew living out of one fridge for a week. Crewsy began with a catamaran crew that was still planning the shopping list on the Saturday morning of handover. Since then the list is done before anyone travels, and there's time on the pontoon to catch up.
